As the trip began, is ending on the train. In 2 hours I'll be in Madrid.
Eli Eli, who leads this fabulous kiosk helped us find all sites in Tarifa tourist information kiosk plan, and has satisfied all our desires of sweets ... Thanks Eli!
It's done.
am in Tarifa, at the end point of Spain, Europe, of my journey.
It was incredible. Without the help of many people not have been possible, the list is almost endless ...
Thanks to all my friends who have supported me with all his heart (special mention to Ross bravely join me during the first part), thanks to all donors who have responded so generously to fight this cruel disease, thanks to all the people I met along the way who helped me with grateful words and actions, many have appeared on the blog, but of course, there many that lack of time on my part, did not appear, but he deserved his post. Thank you all.
the end thanks to all my family, my father and my sister Jane who have been with me through messages from Scotland and sister Sarah right here on the road.
And thanks to my mother, for everything.
We are 9 km from Tarifa and the end of the adventure. If no contingency of a completely alien should arrive tomorrow at about 1 pm.
If you are in here, come and get us. I sense that my mother would like to celebrate it with a gin and tonic, so we'll probably be in a bar near the beach, with a toast in his name.
has been an incredible journey. More tomorrow.
From the beach before Zahara.
Sorry that the blog today has been more rare and disorganized than their (very bad) normal. Has been a day as Scotland, has not stopped raining, which prevents writing on the blackberry, for lack of ability to hold water. In fact, although I have protected well enough yet something has come up with the effect of corumpir card data. It's a shame because I lost some pictures that have not yet ascended to the blog. To see if a little time to wipe the card can be reborn, I have hope, but little else.
As you can see in the picture over time and it has become clear, perfect for the last kilometers ; meters Zahara on the beach.
We are in the camp of El Palmar, which is 5 km south of Conil de la Frontera. Today the route passes by the Cape of Trafalgar, which of course has something of importance to the name Nelson.
Then get to Barbate, and if not too late to try to keep Zahara de los Atunes. If I am getting there I would maso least 30 km to reach the final destination, Tarifa. I can not hardly believe it.
to put the bag ... PD
I owe even the history of the dinner on Monday, soon (today hopefully) upload it!
Reach the Beach deserves a cold beer, I say.
can see the machinery of Puerto de Santa MarĆa there the background to the west. From time to time I have seen the light reflected from water, but I think it's the water inside the Bay of Cadiz, and I have not yet seen the c & # 233; year, but I'm close. The last time was more than a month, 1,100 km north ...
I'm finally in the CA-3109, a small road that leads me to Puerto Real.
To find I have a couple of laps on the south side of town, all narrow roads but with a lot of traffic, especially trucks. I've been really best times in my life the last two I've experienced. But I've escaped!
And I'm not complaining possesses no experience in Jerez good thing because we spent there, which I will explain in the next post, when I have time to write ...
I think I've entered the province last professional all the way ...
De repente parece que la blackberry (Blackberry) is operational (and all without the intervention of the helicopter team!).
I do not trust me too much that's already fixed 100 by 100 but as it works, fine.
Many thanks to V and C, my support team for writing the note yesterday (in the full half of a romantic weekend!)
We reached the town of Lebrija, then & # 233; s the first pass through Palacios, where we slept on Saturday. All the way is now on the roads of the Lower Guadalquivir. There farm roads, but I do not trust all are open to the public, to continue in existence etc, so you better move the cars. (And plenty of honking to encourage me kilt!)
Lebrija Already we found the town of Fair, sure you can imagine how was the theme of moving from house to house, all world of good vibes, and many encouraged to see a Scot suddenly at his party. We've had a great time.
Now we headed to Jerez de la Frontera, if all goes well we will be on the coast in two days ...
Carmen and Cristina were dining by the center and they called us when they saw the kilt.
Carmen's boyfriend is Scottish, hence the interest in my way I dress. They met at a concert of Anthony and the Johnstones, when she was working as a English teacher in Scotland. More
English-Scottish connections!
these majas met last night in Madrid, are here for the weekend and a bit of flamenco. They have a great time!
was lost in the streets of Seville, looking for the hostel has been a friend of Peter, when Address requests to this group. Go luck doing a Masters in Geography, and where they were was next to the hostel, and who accompanied me there. Thanks to them! (Is in Seville, France and Mexico, a good mix!)
I'm at the hostel's glory and my sister just called to say he has arrived. All is well.
I just saw La Giralda, the symbol emblematic in Seville, there is very little to complete the Way Plate.
came last night, by moonlight, the comfortable hotel Las Cumbres, which is in the old national road between Ronquillo and Seville.
Pedro I met the owner, friendly and very talkative. While I ate a plate of most delicious pata negra ham, chatted about everything under the sun, and then I invited a couple of gin and tonic.
Everything was very relaxed in this peaceful place, and today I come a little late, but well cooled. I still have 35 km to Seville, and you win again I have to know this wonderful city in the south.
Also, my sister Sarah is here tonight to join me for the last week of the road. It will be great to be together, and better still & # 237; to be with another Nelson!
